The Osseo Fire Department was established to protect its citizens and surrounding areas. The department provides a full range of fire suppression, rescue, hazardous materials response, fire education, and fire code enforcement.

If you are passing by and see firefighters working at the station in a non-emergency situation, please stop by and say "Hello." We love to give tours of the trucks and the station, demonstrate the equipment, and answer any questions you may have.

Heart Safe Communities

Heart Safe Community

The Osseo Fire Department is teaming up with North Memorial Ambulance Service to make Osseo a Heart Safe Community. Heart Safe Communities is a program launched by the American Heart Association to help communities improve their ability to respond to sudden cardiac arrest incidents and, ultimately, save lives. This involves encouraging business owners to purchase Automatic External Defibrilators (AEDs) at a discounted rate and to attend training on how to use the AEDs and administer chest compressions.

Residents and business owners who want more information about the program and how they can participate can contact Fire Chief Mark Lynde at (612) 328-7669 or at firechief@ci.osseo.mn.us or Paul Mendoza, Advanced First-Aid and North Memorial Paramedic at (612) 325-3465 or at paul@afaaed.com.
